About Us

We exist to provide relief, cultivate restoration and model reinvestment in our communities

Our Story

We help our community achieve self-sufficiency through education, employment and economic development and advocacy.

LPCDC is a community-based, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization that focuses on three aspects of community development: youth development, family development, and economic development.

Our Mission is to provide the setting for community members to engage in the process of change, which results in the overall transformation of their lives and their community.

With a track record of success in dealing with community-wide issues, such as joblessness, gun violence, illiteracy, and education – LPCDC is ready to use its reach, resources, and network of community partners to transform the face of our communities.

Rethinking Our Community

There has often been an uphill battle for those who care about these issues in underserved communities. As a team at LPCDC, we have taken on the challenge of looking at community issues from a completely fresh perspective. Developing a close working relationship with our in-house team and the community is a top priority for us. Through training and technical assistance, we aim to respond to the needs on the ground. Furthermore, we are committed to investing in our community and its people to create a positive change.

PROVIDING RESOURCES

As a benevolent nonprofit, the majority of our revenue comes from the kind donations of people. Therefore, LPCDC’s efforts to provide the resources our community needs include fundraising as a crucial component. Every day, a range of possibilities and challenges are presented to nonprofit organizations. At LPCDC, our objectives are to meet the opportunities and difficulties we encounter head-on in order to offer our community activities, services, programs, and education that are above average.

Our Team

These people are not special by their skills, but they are truly special by their heart.

Our Core Principles

Core Principles That Help Our Community Development Projects Succeed

For the realization of any successful community development project, garnering unwavering community support from the very outset is paramount. At LPCDC, we meticulously craft development programs, curate engaging events, and orchestrate enriching activities, all aimed at nurturing and amplifying community involvement.

Each endeavor not only requires wholehearted endorsement from the community but also relies on the presence of one or more dedicated leaders. These individuals take up the mantle of championing the cause on a daily basis, assuming the responsibility for its triumph. Here at LPCDC, we specialize in cultivating adept leaders for a diverse array of projects.

A successful community development project isn’t the work of a single individual or even a handful of people; it takes a village to bring a project to fruition. Knowing how to collaborate and with whom to network to build a successful team is a critical part of any community development project. At LPCDC we research which organizations are the best collaborative partners for our initiatives.

At LPCDC we build a strong project plan that clearly articulates your intended goals and outcomes. We find out more about today’s data-driven decision-making environment and tools, and its impact on business planning.

At LPCDC we rely on the support of our donors to finance our projects.  As any veteran of this work knows, projects rarely go as planned. People move, missions change and funding sources dry up. But that doesn’t mean good initiatives need to be canceled or put on hold.

Reconnecting an individual to the transformative power of community and opportunity. We gather in community because no one is meant to journey alone. Greater opportunity for all is significant because everyone has a purpose.
